sunday, 7:50 pm, january 7, 2007, 27 days before the prom

today's the official opening of the women's volleyball league. my team has been competing for ages but NOT going up a higher notch when it comes to the division. well, we're pretty stuck at being developmental players. haha. anyhow, today was the opening ceremony and our first game. we're with many other teams and had to compete with St. Scholastica Manila of all schools FIRST. ayayay... we lost BADLY against them during our PISCUAA competition so we were jittery though we know they're only team b and we lost to team a. haha! it was anice game, started off close and then we won first set. second set was a different story. we were behind by around 7 to 8 average points for most of the game and got tied somewhere at 17 or 18 and ended up at 24 assumption and 20 them and we made a mistake and they caught up at 24 - 22 then we won. hahaha!!! man! TWO SETS TO NONE! I was pretty ecstatic. next game's on January 14 at 9.30 in the morning in Xavier. We'll be playing at the gargantuan high school covered courts! hahaha... our team's wearing white with royal blue trimmings and yellow almost gold sleeves. hahaha. super specific. WVL had given us a good start and we're praying that at least we'll have a good game with STC. They were the team we lost against during the championships in GALS last year. susmaryosep. hahaha.

enough of the newspaper typeof writing, let me tell you all about the opening and the free milo.

i woke up late as usual, and i had to prepare everything because we came from a wedding yesterday. my eyes got red from taking out the eyeliner (i hate make-up on my face. very itchy) and from having a short sleep. i arrived at xavier holding a flask filled with milo when i saw that they were giving it for free. hahahaha. crap. i panicked when i saw how many teams were participating and when i couldn't see my team. hahaha. turns out, they're late. no one listened to the opening ceremony and we were all anxious to see madel penero when we found out san beda rizal's participating. hahaha. i saw a friend from rosehill also competing and guess what? we'll be playing against them after the prom. RIGHT AFTER the prom. Feb. 3's our prom and the game's on Feb. 4 at 8:45 am. talk about a jam-packed sched. my coach also brought his son who was really nice to all of us. a big shout out to him and my beloved equally friendly teammates. hahahahahaha. grabe talaga, super busy schedule. hahaha. i know i'm not the official website for WVL but i'll be updating my stories as a varsity player. won't be thinking bout prom anymore, i just might not attend. haha.

life can't get any better. haaay.

it can get worse though. hay.

so, i'm spending the last few days of my liberties and my much needed or probably excessive r & r and what a good way to spend it by realizing i have projects to finish and i can't even remember all of them. crap. hahaha.

i was pretty sure i planned this day yesterday quite perfect in the eyes of my assumption teachers. i was supposed to wake up, take a bath, look up things in the internet, talk to my classmates and do all my homework but as they say, things don't happen the way you planned it to be so i ended up lying around all day, eating too much food and harassing my beloved poodle who hated me for an hour today. (she didn't want her pictures taken)

i guess holidays do make you lazy or at least it makes me lazy. my mom has been scolding me the whole christmas vacation and complaining about unwashed dishes, dirty clothes, unfixed rooms and stuff like that. i'm feeling pretty guilty but it's just so hard to brush off my holiday spirits. oh God, please help me...

so this was my day, much sleeping, probably a little snoring, too much eating, worrying, lounging and feeling guilty without acting upon that guilt. hahaha. by the way, part of my cramming experience was looking for a prom date. matteo? (man, i look so freaky already. but i'm honestly normal, promise! i tend to look like a "weng-weng" when i'm pressured or stressed)

Happy holidays! hahaha. finally, something good to talk about. weehoo!

finally! school was over last december 21 and i tell you, it was one hellufa good day.

you see, it all started during the vigil, our school had another vigil before the vacation and we sort of had fun with it! hahaha. people were "snoozing" in the middle of the chants and i was busy singing my heart out. hahaha. talk about being faithful! but really, the vigil was fun, it was some sort of "change" from my usual catholic routines plus, we had free dinner, drink all you can hot choco, a weird breakfast and a chance to "up" our gmrc! hahaha. enough. after the vigil, me and my drowsy friends went to a charity or some sort of gift giving in a hospital in qc and man oh man! it rocked! we were with some other girls from daniw and they were really friendly! (a big shout out to my new found friends! HI!!!) it was fun especially when i got introduced to a very familiar girl - turns out she was a competitor of mine in gals last year. hahaha. pretty amazing, i tell you. after our hospital charity with daniw (also with the breakfast care of tita moppet - thanks! and the lunch!), we went to an orphanage way back in the mountain or hill of anipolo were our dear vigil started. hahaha! the kids were amazing! we spent around 20 mins. sleeping in the car before we started playing with the kids then we entered their humble home and the rest was history. the kids were pretty rowdy but you can't help but love them! they were so sweet and nice and you'll really feel their happiness! hahaha! it was so fun playing with them! and the babies were sooo cute! i was the only one who had the chance to enter the nursery and play with the babies! it was really, really worth the lack of sleep! hahaha.

and the dreaded "way home"...

after visiting good shepherd, most of the group rode with mu (a friend). hahaha. she was going to drop me off in katipunan with the other guys and i was supposed to commute from there! hahaha! it was a weird experience. i'm no commuter and i had to commute on my own at night when i couldn't even cross a road! hahaha. luckily, i arriced home safely. hahahaha.

by the way, i forgot to tell you i did all this without taking a bath! (alongside friends mu and alys!) hahaha! forgive us! we got so busy with the charity work we didn't have enough time to bathe! hahaha. at least we smelled quite good the whole day. hahahaha

then christmas came.

noche buena was my favorite part. i'd choose eating a kilo of suahe (shrimp) than receive gifts. hahaha! it was a sad thing that i couldn't drink softdrinks. thus, i ended up smelling them and drinking buko juice instead. yey for buko juice! hahaha. christmas was alright except for the occasional food shortage (we ran out of chicken and baked mac). too bad not everyone spent their christmas as nicely as we did. (charity made a softee out of me. hahaha.)

and as the new year approaches...

i'd probably be shivering to death, chattering my teeth, hiding in a corner with my poodle. hahaha. i just found out i haven't completely removed my fear of fireworks. hehehe. kidding aside, i'd be prom dateless (still) but happy. hahahaha.

so here's francheska letisha wishing you all a very very happy new year (plus my traditional kung hei fat choy!) and hope your food will be as good as our dinuguan at puto. hehehe.

hahaha. first soiree, probably the last for this year, and still quite unsure what a soiree really is. hahaha! it is pretty weird, being late, leaving early, being with 4 boys and we're like 20? hahaha.

anyway, i don't think it's nice being honest to your parents. they kept asking me questions about the party and about the boys and all i could tell them was, "ha?it was okay.". i really couldn't figure out what to say to them eh! hahaha. and since my blog's for public viewing, i'd rather be quiet than tell all the things i thought about during the party. (i was pretty nasty.. hahaha) wahahaha. anyway, the soiree still left me "promdateless" so there's nothing to be excited about the party right? hahahaha. enough with the soiree and let's talk about christmas.

i just found out that i was not being summoned to my coach's office for something bad but instead, was being summoned for kris kringle. yey. i don't really want to spend money and receive a gift but i have no choice, i have to buy something and receive a gift. hahahaha. and then i ran out of words, let's talk about prom...

CRAP! anong january 3? people told me i have to bring my gown on jan 3 or until jan "who cares" so the security ekek could check it. hala, i don't even know what to wear and then i have to show it na. susmaryosep. prom nga naman oh. and not to mention the date. just found out we're not allowed to go stag. naknaman oh! where the hell am i going to look for a promable? in the trash can? oh please matteo, i really need you to be my prom date now. hahaha. but really, puhleeasse!! this is to stressful, let's talk about cars.

Good news! just found out who owns the yellow hummer that i fell in love with. it's mon confiado's. (he's an actor) wow, man! i really love that jeep! wish i could have mine own someday! hahahaha.

so here's my life for the past few weeks, prom, school, hummer, soiree and kris kringles. life isn't as nice as i want it to be, it's not as boring though, but i still hope it's less stressful. i really need a prom date. hahahaha.
